Geomemorix is a great game to build focus and memory.
It is a 15 minute, 2-4 player game recommended for ages 8+.
How to play:
To prepare the game, lay the 8 round cards out face down in 2 rows in between the players. Place the rectangular cards face down in a pile next to the round cards. Play starts with the youngest player and continues in a clockwise direction.
On your turn, turn up the top card from the draw pile, and place it next to the stack:
If you turn up the correct card(s), you win the rectangular card and play again. Otherwise leave the card on the discard pile and it is the next player’s turn.
Turn the round cards back face down in the same place. The next player can decide to try to win the card face up on top of the discard pile (if there is one) or to turn up a new rectangular card.
Only turn the round cards up to see if they feature the symbols you are looking for, and always turn them back face down at once.
All players take advantage of each round of the game to try to memorise the symbols on the round cards.
The game ends when there are no cards left in the draw pile. The player who has won the most cards wins the game.
Contents: 8 round cards, 42 rectangular cards.
